The location of the pain is reported in the jaw, teeth, neck, ear, face, behind the eyes, upper back, gums, shoulder and mouth.
Typical or usual signs of TMJ are clicking, popping, grinding, crunching and ringing noises, gritting or clenching of teeth, locking of jaw and teeth.
TMJ problems are related to the alignment, position, movement, restiction, opening, fit.
Problems with TMJ are associated with speaking, chewing, swallowing, talking and yawning.
